General Practitioner | Medical Educator | Evidence-Based Health Advocate
I’m Dr. Mohaisin Sharif, a General Practitioner with over five years of full-time independent clinical experience across three different healthcare systems — Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Ireland.
My Professional Journey
Medicine has taken me across continents, and each system has taught me something unique about caring for patients. Currently based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, I work as a full-time GP at Al Hanan Al Muthamaiez Medical Center, where I manage a diverse international caseload. Previously, I practiced at Baloch Hospital & Medical Centre in Lahore, Pakistan — a high-volume setting where I saw 40–60 patients daily, gaining deep experience in acute, chronic, preventive, women’s health, and paediatric care. My medical education began at Kharkiv National Medical University in Ukraine, where I completed my Doctor of Medicine (MD) through a six-year English-medium programme. This international foundation gave me the privilege of learning alongside students from around the world.
My Credentials
I hold active GP registration with three regulatory bodies:
| Regulatory Body | Registration Number | Status |
| 🇮🇪 Irish Medical Council (IMC) | General Register No. 433253 | Active |
| 🇸🇦 Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) | 23532032 | Active |
| 🇵🇰 Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) | 108015-P | Active |
I’m also certified in ACLS/BLS (American Heart Association, 2024) and hold medical indemnity coverage.
What I Bring to Your Health Journey
Clinical expertise across conditions:
Chronic disease management (Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, asthma, COPD, CKD)
Acute assessment and stabilisation- Women’s health (antenatal care, contraception counselling, cervical screening, immunisation)
Paediatric care- Diagnostic interpretation (ECGs, radiology review, blood tests)
A multilingual perspective:
I practice in five languages — English (fluent), Urdu (native), Hindi (fluent), Arabic (working), and Russian (working). This has given me deep insight into how health is understood across different cultures, and how to communicate medical ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
Commitment to evidence-based practice:
I regularly complete continuing professional development, including ICGP-accredited courses in ECG interpretation, anticoagulation, osteoporosis, dyslipidaemia, COPD, and asthma. I believe in staying current with the latest guidelines and research — because your health deserves nothing less.

Here you’ll find: – Practical health education based on current evidence.
Answers to the questions patients actually ask- Insights from my experience across different healthcare systems.
Guidance on when to self-care and when to see a doctor.

Beyond Medicine
When I’m not in clinic or writing, I’m preparing for my planned relocation to Ireland, where I look forward to contributing to the Irish primary care system. I’m also a father — my “GP Dad” perspective often finds its way into my writing about children’s health and family wellbeing.
Thank you for trusting me with your health education journey.
